MLC Junior School 12 Park Road, Burwood NSW 2134
About the Business
Welcome to MLC Junior School, a premier establishment and point of interest located at 12 Park Road, Burwood, Australia. As a primary school, we are dedicated to providing an exceptional education and inspiring young women to become fearless thinkers with moral courage and compassion. Our mission is to empower them to be agents of change in their own lives and the lives of others.
At the helm of our institution is Ms Lisa Moloney, a strong and compassionate educator with a wealth of experience both in Australia and overseas. With a Bachelor of Education in Environmental Science, a Graduate Diploma in Music Education, and a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership, Lisa brings a unique perspective to her role as Principal. Her commitment to education is further exemplified by her position as Deputy Chair of the Round Square Board.
Prior to joining MLC School, Lisa served as the Principal of St Paul's Anglican Grammar School in Victoria and held various leadership roles at Radford College in Canberra. Her expertise and leadership are invaluable in shaping the educational experience at MLC Junior School.
Our institution's strategic plan for 2020-2024 is a result of extensive research, feedback from our school community, and a deep understanding of the world our girls will graduate into. This plan builds upon the strong legacy of MLC School and places the MLC School girl at the heart of everything we do. It outlines our vision, goals, pillars, and enabling strategies to ensure that each girl who graduates from our school is equipped with the skills and mindset to thrive in life.
MLC School takes great pride in being a proudly non-selective institution. We believe in nurturing the interests and talents of our girls, encouraging them to explore new directions and choose the academic pathway that suits them best. We offer both the Higher School Certificate (HSC) and the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB) in Year 11 and Year 12. In fact, in 2021, 12 of our girls achieved an ATAR of 99.95, the most awarded to a school in Australia in IB History. In 2020, MLC School was also named the No. 1 IB School in Australia and a Top 50 Global IB School.
While we celebrate our students' academic achievements, our ultimate goal is to prepare them for success beyond the school walls. We strive to instill in our students the skills, confidence, and compassion to make a positive impact in the lives of others and the world at large. The success stories of our MLC School alumnae are a testament to the rich and fulfilling lives they lead.
We are proud to have a dedicated and passionate team of educators who are committed to providing the best learning experience for our students. Our Junior School STEM program and First Nations Program have been recognized as finalists for prestigious awards, highlighting our commitment to excellence in education.
In addition to our academic programs, we are thrilled to announce a new partnership between MLC School and Celestino Developments Pty Limited, signified by a Memorandum of Understanding. This exciting collaboration will further enhance the opportunities and experiences available to our students.
We invite you to explore our website to learn more about our vision, goals, and the ways in which we place the MLC School girl at the heart of everything we do. Join us in shaping the future of education and empowering young women to become fearless thinkers, compassionate leaders, and agents of change.

"We have been with this school for only one year and it was a very enjoyable year. The school has spent a great deal of time in CLP, excursions, music instruments, singing, and drama while still maintaining her academic excellency. Head of School Daniel Sandral is energetic and enthusiastic. The teachers, staff and other parents are all very nice, special thanks to Ms Beange the class teacher. Every day, I hear my daughter talking about all the wonderful things that happened in school and her newfound friends. The students we know are all well-mannered and very lively. I am so glad that we were a part of this school."
