"My wife bought $99 top amongst other things from NF Birkenhead. Tag that is normally attached just by the safety pin was in the bag, not attached, important detail as we found out later. When trying it on at home before the trip she discovered couple of holes along the seam line. Holes looked like they were machine-made with strait lines. While at Birkenhead store staff assured her that if any size changes/returns are required any NF shop will do them for her. We visited Chatswood NF store and they refused to do anything because tag was not attached (no safety pin) and they did not sell it to her. Her appeal that she was sold a faulty expensive garment and now told to go away was met with “it is our policy” robotic answer. Talking to Birkenhead NF manager Chris over the phone was met with the same indifference: “come to my store and *maybe* I will allow a replacement upon inspection”. The fact that it was his employee that dropped the tag in the bag, did not make notes on the receipt, misinformed the customer and sold a faulty garment meant nothing to him. Very unpleasant experience."

"I buy a jacket and a pair of shoes, but the insole has different thicknesses. The next day, I asked for change, but their long-haired male manager said there was no problem with the shoes. I asked him to try to put on his shoes. The feeling will be obvious. But he refused and refused to give change the shoes. So lucky . Have a lot of shops company to making shoes and jacket. I will never buy anything from north face. never ever."

"Didn’t understand why some ppl commented about salesman’s attitude ... I found them very warm hearted and patient.... and genuine ... I’m happy last time even I saw those comment still went to get jacket and bag for NZ trip.. now happily back ~ though there is a small thing I need to go to shop again, but it’s none of salesman’s fault, pretty much the factory ~ I have to say, North face quality is really good~"
