"Had breakfast there on a Sunday morning and the lady taking orders at the counter was extremely rude. The waffles were also mediocre, a disappointment considering the name of the restaurant. The coffee is also poorly done. On the other hand, food presentation looks great and atmosphere of the cafe is nice too, with both indoor and outdoor seating."

"Very friendly place, the young lady there was great to talk to, she made me a very nice coffee (magic). The egg and bacon roll was also excellent, by be careful as the filling was really hot. Definitely would return."

"Honest opinion: My family and I which totals to 6 people went there for breakfast. Initially it looked amazing with all the greenery surrounding it and the antique vibe the shop generated. We were greeted by this man with enthusiasm and we were impressed. However when it came time to order, things started going south. We were being served by a lady older in age, she was ruthless and passive aggressive with us and the reason was because we were changing a couple of things in our meals. Nothing special like for example I asked for extra whipped cream on my waffles and mum asked for no bacon in her meal. She looked annoyed and we felt like we were almost a burden to her. After spending $190 on the food this was the last thing we wanted to feel. She ended up getting pretty much all our orders wrong however at that point we had just accepted defeat and didn’t want to escalate the situation. Also may I mention I walked outside for a minute and overheard the man who initially greeted us telling off another staff because chef wasn’t happy that so many orders were being altered. So unprofessional. If you are looking for a great place to have breakfast I would strongly recommend Penny Lane Island Cafe, we paid less, got more food and great customer service"

"Lovely outdoor eating space but that's where the enjoyment ends. 2 kids, 2 adults = $130 breakfast which im happy to pay but the waffles were all undercooked, spongey and unpleasant to eat. We spoke to the owners (as we are also cafe owners and appreciate feedback) and were argued with and advised it was the ice cream making the waffles this way. It was definitely not... for the price you're paying you're also not able to make any tiny alterations such as removing the ham from a cheese and ham toastie. Higher end pricing for very little service. As we were eating we had a staff member come to clear some items off our table who was dripping with sweat to the extent we were put off our meals. Obviously they're working hard but to come out with sweat covered clothes and sweat dripping off his face was not quite the image I like while eating my meal."

Ordered from the sweets section and it was barely sweet. | Says on the menu they don’t do changes, though I requested without whip cream and it came with it. | Serving was generous, Plenty of banana and macadamia nuts for each bite. | Though the waffles were a bit dry for me, I added my husbands syrup to make it more sweet as the waffles+nuts+banana made it really savoury. | Husband enjoyed his pulled pork waffles with syrup. | If I was to come back, I’d just go with a savoury & not try a sweet waffle again"
