"Never get your gel nail polish removed here. EDIT (19/6): My nails have started to split and warp following my visit due to how thin and uneven the nail plate is now. Dropping my rating to 2 stars for the long term damage to my nails. - I can’t speak to the quality of their nail polish application as I only had gel nail polish removal but after my experience, I would not go to this salon for any reason. I had gel nail polish I needed removed before a work event and went here as it is the highest rated nail salon in Chadstone. The lady initially quoted $25 after looking at my nails, then increased the price to $35 after we sat down. This price would have been fine with me if she actually managed to remove all the gel product. She was not very gentle with the burr and my nails have been left uneven and with lumps of product still left on many of my nails. She also offered to shorten my nails, which I agreed to, but then cut them immediately without consulting me on length/shape of my nails. The edges were left jagged, even after filing. She then added cuticle oil and said it was done. Even after the initial gel removal, I commented on some obvious parts remaining (coloured nail art). She roughly removed this with the burr and the filing block, then quickly packed up and we proceeded to payment. I didn’t have time to notice how much gel was still remaining until after I had paid and left. If it was a time issue, fine - she could have informed me there was no time for walk ins and I would have not gone ahead. If it was that I wasn’t getting new gel done - well, I would have considered it if she wasn’t so rough and abrupt. Even if she was abrupt but had just managed to actually remove the polish, I would have been happy. Maybe I have too high standards but it really does feel noticeable in real life and is frustrating considering I will likely now have to pay to get the rest removed or covered with new gel polish. Three stars because in the end, the majority of the polish was removed and my nails are technically shorter - and I could fix the bad nail cut/filing at home."
