"Without doubt Sushi Izu Sydney Road Brunswick is terrible value $4.20+ for a sushi roll that’s rolled very thin. The rolls have gone from standard thickness to the size of a cigar. 3 Rolls used to be enough now 4 rolls is hardly filling. So 4 x $4.20 = $16.80…and still not satisfied. Down the road 3 decent size rolls $3.80 each and filling. Total $12.40. When speaking to staff about how small the rolls have become they said it’s the direction they must follow from centralized management. Sushi Izu smaller portions, overpricing = less sales. I’d be very surprised if this business remains within Woolworths. It’s disappointing because the staff are nice and the flavors were good."

"Unless you're buying super gourmet stuff sushi is generally pretty tasteless pap. That's why I buy it - if hungry is battery for my mouth. This is all I asked of Sushi Izu but they delivered so much more. Nice creamy avocado and thick sticky salmon."
