"Very disappointed in the Meal's tonight. We have been going to the whalebone for a long time now everytime we have a birthday in our family we go out for dinner there and it has been absolutely fantastic. Tonight the chips were not cooked properly, the size of the meal has gotten extremely smaller, the chicken Deky did not taste as it used to and I barely had any chicken in it, and the Parma was a lot thinner than it used to be. We do like it for the playground and machines for the kids to use but this will not be a first choice for dinner anymore. New chef???"

"After reading a previous review about the parsimonious nature of the senior's meals it was with some trepidation that we ventured in for lunch today. I had the lamb chops, two loin chops on a bed of mash, with lovely fresh veggies and an excellent gravy. My wife had the parma with chips and salad. We then finished with an excellent sticky date pudding each. At a modest $20 each, it not only represented great value, but the quality and presentation of the food was first class. A lovely drop of Merlot at $7.50 a glass enhanced the occasion."
"Sorry to say on this occasion, yesterday the 3 of us found the Seniors parma meal to be very small compared to previous ones that we have travelled from Melbourne to eat here. I complained to the waitress and her reply was "Chicken is hard to get now and the price to by chicken has gone up.' Well, I don't see KFC or Red Rooster giving smaller potions and that comment does not justify the small amount of chips and veg that the pub served up yesterday, as well. The 3 meals yesterday for $60 were equivalent to one that we had 6 months ago at this pub. $20 Senior meal is not cheap and the Sticky Date pudding was also very sickly which is very different from the lovely home made one that the pub use to serve up. I would expect the meals to stay consistent. We will note return to this pubfor meals . Very disappointing."
