Secret Cottage

"This secret cottage could do with a few improvements - at $450 for two nights- I feel like I overpaid for the experience. If you suffer from hayfever and dust allergies, I won’t recommend going here. It was extremely dusty (more so than the usual, the owner should really clean this place ). Two spiders had made their home in the living room. The light above the bed had cobwebs. The lampshades on the bedside tables- and the bedside tables themselves were covered in dust. There also appeared to be dust on the pillow cases. I suffer greatly from allergies- so I was quite apprehensive, and not very comfortable during my stay here. There was no shampoo in the bathroom (lots of soap and conditioner in a box below the sink in the bathroom, but that was all). There’s no Wifi on offer (which is listed on the Airbnb listing). The TV is also quite old fashioned (had a DVD player- so you will be entertained if you come with a few dvds of your own). No dishwasher. There is an Aircondition which will warm up the living room, but the bedroom has no aircon or other heating devices. There are electric blankets that will warm up the bed. But if you’re not in the bed, it is very cold. For some reason 90% of the bed linen was covered in sequins (which was rough and very uncomfortable). The outdoor table and chairs are really rusty, so you wouldn’t want to sit there. The hot water was one of the few good aspects of this place, I did not run out of hot water for baths/washing dishes. Updated the review to 1 star. The host was unresponsive after our stay and refused to provide a proper tax invoice to us - which was very unprofessional. I would recommend not booking your stay with this venue via booking.com if you are looking for a tax invoice after your stay."

"Shithouse....where do i start! Dusty Light globes busted Home brand bread Stinking hot day and didn't even bother to turn air con on. Can't walk around house in private with front door opposite spa and bathroom No window in bathroom so you boil in spa Marks all over wall Towels old and small .....and i have only been here bout an hour! What a waste of money!!! btw picture of front of property is with a wide angle lens. You struggle to turn (3 point turn....which is what we wanted to do) with a ford focus. The adjoining property (owners?) fence are a mere meters from the front door. The spa/bath room looks pleasantly light filled but it is indeed dark and dingy unless you have all lights on. Sky light is small. No windows and ventilation inadequate so you have to leave door open. Pity if you like a bit of privacy there coz you can see through front door and to the adjoining property. Was supposed to have a romantic weekend away with the better half yet we couldn't wait to get out of there each of the 2 morns we stayed. Yes it is a money making business but the owners of this property are sutely taking the piss out of customers!"
