"We at StageSchool Ireland have leased SHS in Westport every Saturday for Dance, Drama and Singing classes since 2013 in small, safe classes. It's a warm and happy space to educate children and teens and we have so many happy memories working here. Always a positive, professional atmosphere when here and the Principal, teaching staff and caretakers deserve great credit."
"Terrible school. Would not recommend to anyone. There are plenty of other schools in the vicinity to attend which would definitely benefit your child more. This school is ill-equipped moldy and run down. The building is absolutely freezing and the staff do nothing about it and when a complaint was brought to the principal and vice principal they simply brushed it off saying they knew it was cold and advised us to wear layers underneath the uniform(which students were already doing). Yet no trace of the lack in heating could be felt in their offices. The teachers and staff are rude, condescending and there is massive bulling problem which is not strictly between the students. Most teachers are not well versed in the syllabus to be studied and do not follow it correctly and take a unseen amount of sick days (a substitute had not been arranged prior to sick leaves) leaving the students stressed and on a strict timeline to complete the course before the end of the year often having to stay after school to be able to complete the years course to be able to sit there leaving cert confidently."
