"To sum up our experience..."I'm sorry" If we heard that once we heard it five times, from what was not available on the menu to start and post ordering when she came back and said my selection was not available. To the time it took to get our order, and even longer for our first drinks. To the point I had to go to the bar to order a second round. I'm sorry was the foundation of our experience and suggest you second guess your time, effort and money to chose this pub. Its disappointing to even write this but I feel strongly you need a warning."

"This sublime and refined old fashioned pub at the Ballynahinch Castle Hotel is a must go if you are passing by. The staff welcomed us very warmly, and with extra care. The selection of food, beers and hot drink will guarantee you a great moment. Thank you again for the recipe of the bread. Merci, Dankjewel, Tesekkürler, Thank you from the 6 of us"

"For my Mothers 60th birthday, we booked in for a meal at Ballynahinch castle. We opted for the Fisherman’s pub as we had small kids so we needed the option to have a quick and easy meal, but with nice surroundings. When we arrived it turned out that our reservation was not available anymore due to the huge All-Ireland match that was on. The pub was full of people enjoying the match and the hotel couldn’t apologise enough for this unforeseen occurrence. However, Kieran and Mike went OVER and above to accommodate us. They really made the whole experience extra special and found us a table in a separate part of the hotel so we could have our meal together. They were so friendly, excellent with the kids bringing colouring pencils and paper in for them to draw with and truly made the evening extra special. Huge thanks to them for pulling it out of the bag for us and for helping us enjoy this occasion. Wouldn’t hesitate to go back. Food was also fabulous and reasonable"

"We were stopping by as visitors to the castle (not staying overnight) and decided to have a quick bite before heading to our next location. We ordered the Soup of the Day (butternut squash, good with some fresh pepper added), an Irish Coffee (okay), and the Sticky Toffee Pudding (the best one among the few we tried in the area). The service was a bit inattentive, which resulted in a long wait between finishing our meal and paying our bill."

"We had an overall positive experience with our large family lunch for a special occasion, food and service were good to great but we had a few small challenges. However, Roberto went to great lengths to make everything right and it was deeply appreciated. We will be return customers due to the thoughtful approach."
