"Called into Purple Door Cafe for lunch. Staff were lovely and there was a good selection of food! Surprisingly quite expensive though, 14.50 for a wrap and side salad. It was tasty but pricey for two to have lunch and a coffee."

"Reputedly the best crepes here. Very popular with tourists and congested when we popped in. Fresh, homemade European-style cafe with a big free oceanside lot to park in across the way. More outdoor patio seating is available on sunny days across the road with epic mountain and ocean views. Note: They stop serving breakfast at 11:30am and start taking lunch orders at 12pm. So make sure to time it right."

"Probably the best crepe I have had since my first one (about 45 years ago). Best flat white so far in Ireland, too. The restaurant is charming, with lovely all weather "pods" for outdoor dining (we chose indoors, over my druthers, grumble grumble). Absolutely worth the drive from Galway. Actually the drive was charming, too. Lots of cyclists here, probably not a coincidence."

"My partner and I saw a sign for the Purple Door on our way through town and had to stop by. Cute little cafe with big character. Indoor and takeaway options and a full bakery selection of sweet and savory options. Coffee was good with non-dairy options. We got a sausage roll and a blueberry scone and if we weren't on a schedule we would have stayed in. Friendly staff and plenty of seating in the lot across the street. Beautiful view of the area while enjoying your food and drink."

"Arrived there after a long trip through the Connemara loop, very hungry. The owner of the place is super charming. We talked a lot about his 3 month trip around Argentina (our birth country). Going to the service and food, it’s phenomenal. French fries are one of the best I’ve tried in Ireland, and I ordered the Beef Stew, which was the best decision I made. I recommend you to try the brownie, with a coffee to go, and walk looking at the fjords. Epic moment. 5 stars it’s not fair, should be 6 or 7 stars!"
