"Recently stayed at shannonside b&b we were in athlone for my mother's 70th there was 6 of us in total staying in three rooms . On arrival we met Linda the owner she was so welcoming and lovely she showed us to our rooms which were really nice and each had an en suite. We booked in for breakfast both mornings which was excellent and we met Mark the other owner who was just as friendly all in all me and my family had a great stay and I can't recommend staying here highly enough it was within walking distance of everywhere you need to be so has great location great rooms and wonderful owners. Thanks again Linda and Mark for a great stay we will be back."

"8 of us stayed here in August 2022 for 3 nights for a family holiday. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome. The hotel is very clean and comfortable and the breakfasts are exceptional. Lots of choice and cooked very well, nothing is too much trouble. It is only 10 mins walk to the centre of Athlone and only takes 10 minutes to get there. The hosts Linda and Mark were very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely stay there again in the future."

"Lovely BnB a few minutes walk from the centre of Athlone in a quiet residential area. Off-street parking available in front of the house. Had a comfortable stay and a really nice hot breakfast. The owners are lovely people, really friendly and knowledgeable about the local area."
