"Visited this pub 14th December Coldest night of the year. We stayed locally as to be near Dublin for an early flight. It's the type of pub that when you open the door that you know that you are on a winner. It was warm and friendly. Excellent service. It was quite busy as the local choir were in after practice but the young lady serving was exceptional. That was the starting point for wonderful memories of a dream holiday"

"It was quiet and early evening. There is a nice old cast iron stove in a small room. It's got some features but nothing great. I didn't see any of the warm welcome raved about elsewhere. The service was quite sullen though some clients were laughing a fair bit. There had been a murder in town the previous day which must have weighed in minds."
