"We arrived late today so we did not do a complete tour. We visited the cafe in a converted outhouse. We counted a dozen large spiders on the ceiling. They were high up, we were safe (I have arachnophobia), and they added to the charm of the cafe. A nice cozy fire was in the stove which we took a table beside. We had tea and scones for three. Served on a lovely white tea service. Scones, butter and beautiful strawberry jam. No cream and the scones were big but medium quality. But the jam was delicious and might have been Joan and Bob's Juicy Jam which was on sale in the cafe. Great to see Irish produce being sold and promoted within the cafe. Lovely local pottery also on display and for sale with a 20% discount today. We all agreed the tea was a lovely blend and piping hot and the lovely, friendly hostess offered extra if it was needed. But the large white porcelain teapot had enough for seconds plus more. Credit/debit cards accepted. The toilet was a walk across the courtyard. May not be ideal on a rough, rainy day. Caution with the hot water as it gets extremely hot very fast and could be too hot for some. We will definitely be back again and we also want to visit the gardens. 6 euro per adult. Looking forward to it."

"Beautiful grounds, great for a day out. I was there for the all together now Festival. I enjoyed it. However traffic management was a bit chaotic. Lads you need more signs. Exiting the festival on both nights I got lost. Lack of signs, lack of attentiveness by some stewarts, changing the route from one night to the next. Issues arriving were down to built-in bottlenecks. The traffic didn't flow into the substantial parking fields. Check out how they do it in Lego Land/ Dublin airport / Disneyland Paris. No one, no one stops to check anything before the cars are parked. Stopping and checking/clarifying means queues. And queues on the road are dangerous. Hire a scrummaster would be my suggestion. Or a person specialising in Flow. This type of problem happens all the time in other industries. The"sure it'll be grand" attitude doesn't cut it any more. Especially when it's a cheap fix. Back to the music and the festival. It was excellent. Nice small field. Loved the global roots stage in the forest. And I must say the Garda on site seemed to be a very relaxed bunch."
