"If I could give minus 1 I would. Booked a full leg wax here yest while on vacation from the US for today at 2pm. Walked into the ground floor at 1.50 which is a woman’s store, anyway the girl there was super friendly and directed me to the top floor for the beauty salon. First impressions were bad, carpet on the stairs was filthy then when I got to the top was totally ignored by the girl at reception not even a look up or smile, she was taking money from a previous client so ok I’ll forgive that thought she would acknowledge me afterwards, no. She called the girl sitting on the other chair and again no acknowledgement that I had even walked into the room. Eventually 2.10 she was finished with that person so said Alison which I took to be hello come into the room for your appointment. She was chatty but I knew after 2 mins she had no idea what she was doing, the wax kept sticking to me and she couldn’t get it off with the strips she kept going over my knees which was complete agony she was blaming it on the wax and the fact it’s never happened to her before, well me neither, I’ve been waxing for 20 plus years and this was my worst experience yet. Long story short she gave up after doing nearly half my legs said she had to go get something and would be back in a minute. I knew what was coming and I was so happy, another girl called Laura came through apologized and told me the other girl wasn’t well, a lie clearly but I appreciated the effort:) Laura was a lovely girl, a professional who knew what she was doing, she told me she wouldn’t have time to complete a full leg as she had another client coming in, obv to which I replied I wouldn’t be paying for a full one as obv I didn’t get one! She did the lower legs as best she could and was great. Have to say that the salon itself is filthy, room I was in had what looked like wax or hair dye all over the stool, floor was super dirty, lights on the ceiling had dead flies / spiders inside them, I could not wait to get out, awful experience but have to say Laura was lovely and tried her v best at redeeming the situation. Oh and she informed me I should have never been waxed there without a 24 hr patch test, which girl who booked apt never mentioned. Go elsewhere, was a complete and utter waste of my time! I now have to go looking for another salon to complete the job the first one couldn’t do!"
