"We recently had an amazing Indian meal in the restaurant. The staff were very attentive. It was also very reasonably priced. The restaurant is on the small size but the seating was very comfortable. As it's run by Muslims, it does not serve alcoholic drinks but everyone is welcome to bring their own (no corkage fee). We couldn't fault it. They also do takeaway."

"Zaffran has become our favourite place to have an evening meal or even a takeaway in Edenderry. The food is excellent, the best Indian food we've had anywhere, and ranges from the mildest right through to very spicy. They cater to all tastes including vegetarian and each meal we've had, since we found them, has delicious. We love their Biryani and Balti, Tandoori and mild Curry. The Naans are gorgeous. And EVERYHTHING is so fresh. It is great to have such a good Indian restaurant on the town. We've had a couple of excellent takeaways. But we ate in the restaurant on Saturday when we noticed it was empty. While we chose our food, we were given some poppadoms with three dips. Each were very nice and we enjoyed them all. As the restaurant doesn't have a wine licence, at their suggestion, my companion popped up to the local off licence. Interestingly there was no corkage charge but we were given glasses with no problem. We shared a mixed Tandoori starter which was served to us on two plates, perfectly split and nicely garnished. Then I had a Chicken Patala and my companion had the best Chicken Balti ever.. they were both served with a good portion of boiled rice. The whole meal was lovely and since we had the place to ourselves because we were so early, we felt safe to eat indoors. It was a lovely treat. The service was great but not intrusive. Our whole meal, along with some sparkling water was €40.95."

"Food for all the family. Our little one tried the chicken goujons, southern fried.. She'll definitely get them again. Sag lamb is exceptionally tasty. Friendly service as usual."
