"Took a trip down here last week. It was well worth it. Excellent 3 course menu with a couple of surprises in there too. The food was superb and the service top notch too. Will be back in the summer!"
"As good as it gets! The meal was incredible as was the staff and venue. I would easily put this on the same tier as many of the Michelin starred restaurants that I have eaten at and am frankly surprised it doesn't have at least one star as I would say this meal and experience were worthy of a detour if not a special journey. I was in a group of 6 with one toddler and everyone was blown away with everything. On top of the food and experience, our toddler did need to step away from the table after a bit, but the staff were incredibly welcoming, insisted that we enjoy our food in the dining room and even took turns playing with him. I have never felt so welcome at a restaurant, much less one with of such stature. Oar has a earned a special place in my heart."
"We had dinner here the other night and it was absolutely DELICIOUS. We opted for the tasting menu and were wowed by some unconventional yet totally inspired dishes. Kieran was a wonderful host, so welcoming and obviously passionate about what he does. A huge nod to the incredible staff who were so knowledgeable & friendly. The whole evening was a pleasure. It was relaxing and lacking any pretension. Oar could rival any Michelin Star and it's probably only a matter of time. Can't wait to gather more family & friends and share the experience. Thanks to all the team at Oar for a wonderful evening."
"A true gem. I’ve dined at plenty of Michelin starred restaurants and have to say Kieran and his team stand up quite well against them. Cozy, relaxed and unbelievably executed dishes. They have great attention to detail (hello nice wine wine glasses paired appropriately with a great wine list) but without the snobbery that many great restaurants exude. If you find yourself scheduled to be in County Clare, call well before and make a reservation. You will not be disappointed."
"We had a great girl's night out! The additional unexpected culinary surprises served to our table were incredible. Attention to detail was delightful. Extremely well priced for a Michelin starred experience . We particularly loved how Kieran gave most of the credit for his success to his kitchen and staff cohort. We are already planning our next visit"
