"Only shop in Athea and has all the groceries you will need + Atm and you can have a pint or two. Athea was once a very busy spot in my young days with 5 petrol stations 3 butcher's shops 2 bank subsidiaries about 14 pubs a creamery and garda sargent a tailor 2 dance halls ect ect. Now we are lucky to have a great groceries shop and a great chemist shop +a doctors surgery a few pubs and a good butcher. Big changes to a lovely village and a great place."
