"08/03/23 - Update to the below original review: If you are considering purchasing from this store, I implore you to reconsider before you hand over your hard-earned money. Read the bad reviews (what is left of them! Carla has often had Google remove reviews), you have to expect that you will get no satisfaction and no recourse from House McGrath if something goes wrong with your order. The owner is slanderous and offensive in her responses. In her response to our original review below, she vehemently denies any wrong doing, despite the numerous emails, order confirmation texts and invoices that exist as evidence that we were essentially scammed by the owner. We do not leave poor reviews generally but in the absence of any acceptance of wrong-doing then we feel a responsibility to highlight the risks that come with dealing with Carla and House McGrath, a business which presents itself as a high-end bespoke furniture store but in fact is nothing more than a hobby for a spoilt, bored house-wife that knows nothing about furniture or customer service. Again.... AVOID! Original Review: AVOID! I won't bored you with the details of our experience with House McGrath and Carla, the owner. My only advice to you is to stay away. Customer Service is an alien concept to them, you will wait months on end for the delivery of your products and you will receive items that you didn't even order in the first place."

"We purchased two products from HMcG for our home and only one item was delivered by the courier. We had to call and email the shop 5 times over a 6 week period to try and resolve this issue. We were continually given the run-around with no attempt to ever call me back (every time I communicated with someone at HMcG I was asked to leave my phone number again, it was like a broken record). After finally speaking with the owner I was told that it was essentially my problem to resolve, since the courier says it was delivered, it must have been. When I asked for it to be refunded I was told that would not be possible since "without it returned we have nothing to refund". But how could I return something for a refund if I didn't even receive the item in the first place? Customer service is not a priority at this business, if it was, they would have taken responsibility for an item not being delivered to a customer, end of story."

They could not have been more helpful, lovely or knowledgeable about their furniture and home decor. They not only helped me pick pieces that worked beautifully in my room, but they followed up to ensure that we were happy. It's truly an exceptional business!"
