Welcome to The Mon, Scoil Muire na Mainistreach, located in the heart of Killarney town. With a rich history dating back to 1838, our institution has been a pillar of education for generations of families in the Killarney area and beyond.
Established on our current site in 1958, The Mon has a strong Catholic ethos and provides education for boys from 2nd to 6th class. Our dedicated team of teachers and staff strive to develop each child as a whole person, placing equal emphasis on academic, sporting, musical, and artistic activities.
At The Mon, we believe in fostering a strong environmental awareness among our students. Through our Green Schools program and close proximity to the stunning Killarney National Park, we encourage students to appreciate and care for their natural surroundings.
