"My wife and I went here for a long weekend for our first anniversary. WOW!!!! What a place!!! The drive up to the property is a winding road banked by lush greenery that opens out to reveal a little slice of heaven. A beautiful lawn surrounded by a low stone wall sits in front of the house with benches, flowers and a lovely decorated well that sits in the middle. There is also ample parking. Upon arrival we were greeted firstly by Pat who is an absolute gentleman. He showed us to our room and gave us the lay of the land. Norrie greeted us shortly after and gave us some info on local attractions. This couple are the loveliest people ever to run a B&B. Every time they see you you are greeted with smiles and warm conversation. The breakfast options are awesome. Norries fruit pancakes are absolutely devine. I couldn't get enough of them. The rooms are great. They are done in an old Irish style that reminds me of my grandparents house, though they feel fresh and new not old. There is a whole host of wildlife that can be seen on the property. We saw rabbits, cats and 2 badgers who we stumbled upon in the dead of night as we came back from the town. Killarney town is only a 30 minute walk from the property if you take it slow as we did. This is an absolute gem of a place and you will not regret staying here one bit."

"We stayed for 2 nights last week. Norrie was a wonderful hostess. The room was very comfortable and the food was fabulous. Its about 1 mile out of town which was good because Killarney is a very popular tourist location and is very busy in the city center. We liked being able to walk in and out of town and being away from the bustle."

"Alderhaven is lovely, and Norrie is a wonderful host. We'd had an accident and were stranded in Killarney without a room. Another nice person connected us with Norrie, who not only took us in, but served us tea as soon as we arrived. Comfortable and charming with a delicious breakfast. Recommended!"

"Lovely B&B with nice clean rooms and quiet surroundings. You can watch rabbits playing outside in the field while eating breakfast inside. (try the pancakes!) The hostess is very friendly and has very useful advice about places to visit, what to look for, where to have a nice walk and asks how your day was, without being overly present. Very highly recommended!"
