"Stayed here a couple of years ago and absolutely loved it!! It's great if you want some Peace and Quiet as it's a few miles from Buxton and only has a few Houses and a Church around it, it's also a Great place to stay if you wanting to watch a Play at the Buxton Theatre and either stay the night! But we stayed here for a week and it was Brilliant, the House is Dog Friendly which is great and the Surrounding areas are Green Fields Mountains, Hills as well as discovering great little Villages in the Area, best of all this Place is very well priced for what you get, especially in the Buxton and surrounding areas where other Venues are ridiculously overpriced! All I can say is if you love walking, peace and Quiet as well as seeing the Historic Town of Buxton then this is the place for you!! 5 Stars all around!!"

"A fabulous little dog friendly cottage in a great location. We arrived to find some dog treats, dog toys and a bottle of wine waiting for us. I'd highly recommend it. When visiting you must try the Quiet Woman pub across the road. It's like stepping back in time...."

"This is a perfect little stone cottage in a Peak District village. I first stayed here with my wife in September 2009, for our honeymoon. Although it's at least 3 centuries old, the interior is neat and clean and well designed, with 21st century luxuries like wifi and a deep freestanding bath tub - perfect for soothing tired legs after a long hike in the surrounding hills! We completely fell in love with the place, and when it came onto the market last year, bought it immediately. So now we can stay there whenever like :) When we're not there, The Cottage continues to be locally managed as a cosy holiday home."
