I had been looking for a craftsman jeweller for some time as my rings, constantly worn for over 30 years, were not only too small but also rather battered and worn. I didn't want to leave them with a jeweller who would send them off to a workshop somewhere else, which I found was the case when exploring the job. He rebuilt the ring beautifully and I felt he put so much care and attention into it. "Jonathan May rebuilt a diamond cluster engagement ring for my daughter-in-law. It had belonged to my late mother and therefore it was very special. The result was superb, Jonathan took all the stones out, he replaced a faulty stone and cleaned everything before reassembling the ring. It looked wonderful and I am very happy with the result. "Working with Johnny is a real treat! Although I had designed my (replacement) wedding ring, I wasn't tempted to make it and went to Johnny instead. He understood my design, and he crafted it perfectly. I have had lots of compliments on my ring, and always tell people about a great jeweller I know in Kendal! "BUYER BEWARE! Although I genuinely believe Jonathan means well, his complete lack of organisation skills let us down tremendously. We commissioned him to design and create bespoke wedding rings for our wedding, over 6 months ahead of time. Despite clear instructions from us, and numerous attempts to contact him, it took him over 2 and a half months for him to decide that after all, he was not able to do it. The way that he unceremoniously "dumped" us was also very upsetting to us, considering that our wedding rings are such an integral and emotional part of the marriage. He is a very charming man, and I am sure that his work is beautiful, we just never got the chance to witness it, and were burned in the process."
