"Nice and relatively clean lake and area which also includes a large park with trees and flowers etc so nice for a walkabout. Great cheap enough day out with kids etc You can hire the pedal Swan boats for a fair price. Also a cafe on site, Basketball court further in. Only issue is parking really, although I have a blue badge so park in the many disabled bays on the main beach side road, but always worry for my car mirrors as cars seem to speed by and narrowly miss when I've been sat in car."

"Canoe Lake is one of the original delightful places in Southsea. A great place to have a family picnic or if you prefer, there is an excellent cafe next to the lake. My grandchildren love the Swan pedalos, they also have a big play area for children, also good for dog walking, very close to the beach and South parade pier."
