"Terrible experience, after 5wks clearly deteriorating, waiting for a procedure, and getting covid in hospital, eventually my Mum was transfered to Hull, when told no beds back at Gy,needing nursing care, she sadly passed away, no one to coment, beds space, just a number, P. A. L'S next steps so no family has to suffer an unavoidable loss, and letter to health secretary. Heartbreaking."

"At the entrance the welcome is to confuse the first time patient - see the sign below - "Main Entrance" round the bend - wrong use of Hospital colours, used for directional signs, and a complete failure of what is via the main entrance - Xray and CT is miles from the entrance - I never found Endocrinology. All Out Patient and In Patient areas should be listed, because the Main Entrance implies their are other entrances. Not only this but the signposting inside the Hospital "Way Out" signs are as limited as the NON Professional Managers. They must have been an afterthought by those charged with posting signs. When I entered the CAT Scan Dept at 8am for 08.30 appointment a patient with an 8.40am appointment "jumped" the queue and an 08.15 appointment was not called until 9am. ITS COMPLETE INEPTITUDE BY the LACK OF AUTHORITY in the "XRAY AREA" and it shows. There are two CAT scan Depts - a Container ? but we arrived at the wrong one and had to take the a long detour... A shall request a telephone out patient next time never wanting to go there again... As far as parking is concerned the entrance to the Patients Car Park has a barrier and reading the small print as to whether the disabled are charged or not let out until they do is another question. So Disabled are treated as second class - Where are the wheelchairs for them to borrow because the entrance is a "LONG MARCH" for the lame. So bear this in mind - Poor eyesight Hard of Hearing or Lame stay away - No assistance is offered at the entrance- not even Reception sitting down while the disabled queue.Its Grimsby and a fourth class Hospital - run by 4th class officers."
