"I bought an expensive Omega special edition watch for my brother as a gift - he is a Bond fan and likes collecting. I expected the basic items to come with the watch, namely the watch's hang tag with its serial number on it. When I was told I was not getting one, I insisted on it. I was told that Finnies don't keep hang tags and their policy is to not give them out. While I disagree with this having checked with Omega (Swatch Group) colleagues who have all confirmed that the AD should give the customer the hang tag. I do understand that it is Finnies' policy not to include the tag. When I further insisted on this and expressed my disappointment, I was told that I can return the watch if I like. I was disappointed. However, I must appreciate Jason from Finnies whose quality of service and helpful attitude has compensated for this. Finnies has been a well-established family-owned business in Aberdeen, and has gained popularity in the UK. It would be nicer if they would warn the customer about what they are walking away with, before the purchase, so that the customer's expectation is managed. Trust is a delicate thing. Both Finnies and the end-customer can work together to build and benefit from a long-lasting relationship. A little bit of goodwill can go a long way in these tough economic times. Thank you, Finnies for the wonderful watch and gift wrap. Really appreciate it."
