And yet Grampian Continental is engaged in the toxic and highly environmentally damaging practice of hydraulic fracturing or fracking which is the drilling into gas bearing shale rock. The drill is used to drill vertically and then horizontally into the ground to perforate the rock with depleted uranium as part of the perforation gun's charge, a mixture of water , sand and chemicals are injected into the rock at high pressure. Chemicals including but not exclusive to, formaldehyde found in cigarettes and embalming fluid. , benzene and many others.
