"This place is in urgent need of a thorough overhaul, starting with the management - who seem to be oblivious to the dirt, untidiness, slap-dash attention to details of the staff and shortcomings of the self-service counters. From chipped crockery to dirty coffee cups, from a cereal table strewn with spilt cereal and the skimmed milk empty and not refilled (2 days running) to a single one cup coffee machine that is totally inadequate for a packed breakfast restaurant, from ingrained dirt on the restaurant floors to shabby toilet facilities with broken tiles and a filth sodden, worn out stair carpet - nobody seems to notice or, worse still, even care. On the positive side this venue was well frequented on the three times I visited - particularly I believe due to the all-in breakfast price. However, judging from the comments of some other guests, directed both to me and members of staff, I am not the only one who has serious concerns about the standard of cleanliness and organisation. The somewhat overplayed affirmations of friendliness of the staff towards guests only come across as hollow and are obviously designed to benefit duty management in maximising table covers in a given time. This "banter" may go down well with other visitors, particularly the dominant younger family groups. But it falls far short of actually addressing the more fundamental needs of quality and customer service. It may be an age thing, but I personally found it "senior citizen unfriendly". This restaurant service was provided as a package by the adjacent Premier Inn. While I found the price/quality mix of the hotel service good, my overall experience was heavily tarnished by the negative experience of the directly associated restaurant. I will definitely think twice before choosing Premier Inn again."

"Shocking experience...We asked for a medium rare steak and medium steak, when arrived at the table both were mixed up and we recieved the wrong steaks therefore ate the wrong meal. Chicken burger pink, mac 'n' cheese like rubber and couldn't eat. We asked before-hand for 2 separate bills, only given 1 bill at the end between two families and had to sit there and try to decipher the bill.... after a long tiring day at alton towers. Not a nice experience and the food really wasn't worth the money, my avice go elsewhere!"
