"Unfriendly reception but the morning staff were fine. Thermostatic valve on radiator not working so we had to turn it off completely. Shower head very poor spray. Generally clean though and a convenient location with free parking."

"Hotel staff friendly and polite, breakfast served quick and was Hot, room wad good size for a double and clean., free wifi a bonus Would stay again if we ever go that way. Only about 35 mins walk to the town centre"

"Decent hotel for the price, the rooms where clean and tidy but starting to look a little bit tired in places .... very limited choice of drinks at the bar but the staff where friendly and helpful ... The food in the evening was good, but the breakfast was disappointing, overcooked egg, disgusting stewed mushrooms which none of us could eat, and poor quality baked beans ...... It has all the looks off a once great hotel, that is struggling to get back on track since lockdown cut profits..... I would still recommend this place, as the overall quality is more than adequate for a budget hotel, and the staff are friendly and accommodating"
