Visited the shop initially very impressed quality furniture .as the g plan furniture was not in there shop I rang and asked if they could order the g plan furniture I had seen in another larger well known store. Visited the shop again the price was very competitive so ordered my furniture. Overall a really great relaxing experience. Would recommend to anyone. Have to wait a few more weeks to receive my settee . But not a problem"

"Royal oak funishers fenton stoke on trent. I purchased a firstly a lazy boy sofas from this company the frame was all out of line ,a representative was sent to inspect,for which faults were found. Kevin the owner of royal asked if I would give him a chance and would I look for another suite,I thought being fair and small business do struggle against the bigger companies I agreed. What a mistake,I looked around the store and could only see one suite to my taste. It was a gplan leather,kevin informed me he was going to a furniture show and would be buying a different models,and that I could infact purchase the one in store at a good reduction. This suite cost £2,900 . Within 2 weeks this suite was showing issues,the leather on the seats were showing a lot of access leather also the seats had lost all firmness,the left seat was dipping into the centre,the recliner chair threw you backwards I contacted royal oak which informed they would send a independent assor to look at the suite. This took several months due to the covid issue. In the meantime I did some research on gplan as a company ho my goodness ,I urge you if your thinking of buying a gplan sofa please read their reviews,on trustpilot. Not good at all the problem is this on buying a very well known branded name you think your getting the quality and workmanship as is known for. Nooo it is now owned by a investment company and the many endless reviews i could relate to with the one i purchased it wasnt just the quality it was the company customer service. Also rubbish,I found when I tried to contact them via email they say a member would be in contact nothing. So many dissatisfied people,some people had repairs done on their suites only for them to go into the same fault again. Eventually the assor came to make the report on the leather suite,he just stood and looked I asked if he was going to sit on it,on my prompt he did took some pictures. 3 weeks later kevin the owner at royal oak furnishings called to say he had the report and nothing was found to be wrong with the suite. I asked for a copy of the report which the assor did ,it read customer appears to be finding faults and fussy. WHAT!!!!!. Thought it was a report about a suite not me. I noticed the assors business address wasnt on the report mmmm well it's because hes under contract with gplan on the top was gplan NOT INDEPENDENT. I informed kevin at royal oak that I didn't know I was having a character report,and I would be getting my own independent report. Kevin replied by saying ok if they company find faults I will give you a full refund plus pay for the report. I researched company's specialising in this field,and found a great company with a very high customer feedback with great results. They came that afternoon ,very professional, these were the faults colour didn't match from the back cushions to the seat the machining was out of line the base of sofa had collapsed, the seat cushions were cheap and inferior quality ,the chair arm on the arm had signs of wear ,which I can't understand as we only used this chair a few times!!!! The packing on the chair was inadequate and of cheap inferior materials. And they finished by saying it wouldnt be cost effective to repair as this would be of the same inferior cheap materials. I presented kevin with this in depth report,yes he agreed to the refund and finished by saying he wouldn't refund the payment for the report which did cost £150.00 pounds. RUBBISH COMPANY ROYAL OAK ALSO GPLAN DONT USE."
