"We had a family celebratory lunch here and were very well treated. The menu is not extensive, but there are some good options for all tastes. The staff were effective and friendly, and the ambiance in this old building is lovely. I used to visit this place under different ownership several years ago, and what is on offer now is at least as good. It is also conveniently located a stone's throw from Reading Station with excellent connections in all directions."

"Went here fore a business dinner. Great atmosphere. Great service. Food I was a little disappointed given the price point. Beef tatar was packed with carrot and distracting flavors away from the beef. Wagu rump, is not a steak, but 3 small slithers and a brisket mold. Should have gone with the Rib Eye. Desert was fantastic."

"First time in Reading this century. The staff at this brasserie are excellent; the food not so much. The starter and main course were well presented and cooked however they lacked taste. The sauces which accompanied each dish had good texture but added no taste to the dishes. A real disappointment. I would consider going again for the good atmosphere and excellent staff, however, when next in Reading, I shall be looking for a different restaurant."
