"I am forever grateful to Professor Shane Higgins, Emily his receptionist and the entire Holle street team for our beautiful baby girl. I had hyperemisis for the entire pregnancy and I was shown empathy, kindness and support from Shane from the outset. Professor Higgins is an expert in his field and I would recommend him highly to others. Appointments were never rushed. The opportunity for me to ask questions was always given to me at each visit. I was scanned and examined at each visit thoroughly and I felt extremely well looked after along with our baby. I ended up needing a C Section due to unexpected outcomes. Having a caesarian section is an extremely scary undertaking, in that you are placing your life and your baby's life in the hands of the person caring for you. I am so grateful to you for delivering our daughter safely and for my life and health after the operation. I was pain free after 10 days. My scar was minimal and most importantly our baby girl was delivered safely with no complications. I am forever grateful to you."

"Nice and pleasant person but it seems does not care enough about patients ( too many patients , too little time?). Mr Higgins missed/ ignored my partner's illness/ condition that should have been checked and investigated. Because of that my partner was in A&E a few weeks later with serious complications that could have been avoided. Her health will never be the same"

"Mr Higgins is absolutely wonderful. In 2008 I had a miscarriage and he was based in Drogheda, Co Louth. He recommended a blood test for me as he thought there was a connection between that and a clot I had in 2006. He was correct. I was diagnosed with Factor V Lieden. If he had not diagnosed this I would probably have died when having my baby in 2009, who was 9 weeks premature. Because of his diagnosis I was able to inject with InoHep for the pregnancy to prevent any further clots. I have no doubt that I would have had further clots that could have killed both me and my baby girl if I had not had this diagnosis from Mr Higgins. I owe him a lot."

So second time around I decided to go with a consultant to be safe. Shane Higgins also has a preterm clinic that is so helpful."
