Reviews
"This is a decent place to go for a walk. But there are better places to go. We went in late Autumn. I imagine it would be very different in summer. But then Autumn is a stunning time to go for a walk. Positives - incredibly peaceful. Like seriously quiet. It’s almost unnerving. But I’m a good way. Great parking. No dogs (that’s obviously not a positive for dog owners!). Negative - you feel you’re being told what to do ALL the time. Signs upon signs upon signs. It ends up taking away from the relaxed feeling you should get walking in a woods."
"Lovely place to walk. Three car parks. Part of the Norfolk Wildlife Trust. Lovely level walk with some places to sit. Not too long to walk either."
"Delightful place, woodlands buzzing with bees and butterflies. We even saw purple Emperor butterfly rise up into the canopy from the brambles. Not quick enough to get a picture, only the White Admiral obliged. Will defo go again in the spring to see bluebells."
"These woods are beautiful all year around; the birds the quietness, the peacefulness and tranquility. But now, late April all the bluebells are out and It is simply stunning. The early purple orchids are coming out and the new life of Spring makes the place alive with growth and excitement for nature."
"Went during winter and still needs improvements. Dont get fooled by the name, not a very dense forestry area and didnt see much inside. A lot of areas were closed off and signs were not posted clearly."
