"Great service and expertise, a brilliant optician examined our eyes and gave us excellent information. Nice that no-one tries to sell you glasses if you don't need them. The only downside was a new lens supplier that restricted my choice of frame especially as far as sunglasses were concerned."

"I have booked an eye test for my daughter and myself on a Friday morning. As I was preparing to leave home 20 minutes before the appointment I received a phone call from vision express to say that the appointment had to be cancelled because the optician had called off sick, a bit disappointing but okay happens. Re-booked for Saturday the following week. Same think happens, I received a phone call from them to say that they have to cancel because they are completely fully booked, yeah but I have an appointment for that day!!!! What's wrong with these people? I was left very very disappointed and booked my appointment vith Specsavers when everything was perfect. I will never ever walk into a vision express store and certainly not recommend it to anybody."

"Really disappointed by the service received at Vision express Bedford. I have been with this branch for over 20yrs and will never go back !!! They refused to honour my NHS employee discount… The sales person said that process had changed and I needed a voucher but she was unsure where and where and how I got this . Had I known things had changed I could have come prepared but no one informed me of this either by the call they gave , text message sent or when I checked in. Had I known this I would not have had the test which to had to pay for. Both Boots and Spec savers advised me that they would provide a discount based on my NHS ID which I produced. After all these years as a customer with Vision express I was let down and am disappointed by the attitude and service received."

"Disgusting behaviour today! I had to return my recently bought, glasses this morning at the Vision Express in Bedford, Harpur Centre, which i found to be extremely uncomfortable. I had planned to ask for an exchange, however, when I walked in store looked over to one of the men working on the shop floor who had helped me when I bought my glasses a few weeks ago. (chap wearing glasses looked in his 40’s). Rather than receiving a welcome and asking how he could help, he and the team located behind the reception desk at the time started laughing at me!? Not sure what the joke was!? His response was you can go there looking over to the reception area. After spending £404 of my hard earned money on an eye test and glasses I was given a refund as the worker could see I was not happy with the way they had treated me, I did mention to her what kind of customer service is that? I found it interesting that she didn’t say a word, not an apology, nothing, quiet as a mouse and looked embarrassed as she knew their behaviour was disgusting. I also want it noted that when I had collected the expensive Mulberry glasses I bought I was given a Joules glasses case!? Are you keeping those for yourselves so you can sell on and make money? What I didn’t appreciate is being given that case with no explanation as to why I was being given the wrong case. Store Manager, maybe you need to spend some of your budget on your team as it’s definitely clear they all need to brush up on their customer service skills, so you don’t end up losing more customers, money and damaging your brand name!"
