Reviews
"We went on one of the nights they had the Glow Wild lights set up and it really did look amazing. We were lucky enough to go when the snow had fallen and it really set the scene. They have the world's tallest Christmas tree (a 37 ft redwood) that is decorated with 1'800 lights. Lots to see, kids and adults love it and I'd definitely go again."
"I've visited Wakehurst quite a few times, but this was the first time I had been at night to experience Glow Wild, and I'm glad that I did! The pathway leading to the start of the trail was brightly lit with red lanterns, and from there, you were led on a magical journey through the park. It was a beautiful walk, spending time at each section admiring the colourful lanterns designed as various animals and listening to the tranquil sounds of nature. Two highlights for me were watching the light show being projected onto the two large trees, demonstrating the different phases of the seasons and the lights on the lake dancing to music. At the end of the trail, you have the opportunity to grab food and drink from the cabins installed, toast marshmallows in the open fire, watch the entertainment on display or sit back and admire the tallest Christmas tree in West Sussex!! Overall, it is such an incredible spectacle and is worth seeing (more than once!). (I've only added a few pictures -- you'll just have to go too see it for yourself!)"
"We visited on a half term Sunday, so it was very busy. However once we had left the house and cafe area it was peaceful and uncrowded as the grounds are extensive. I'd recommend taking a packed lunch as the cafe choices were limited and uninspiring, although this could have been due to the numbers visiting on that day. Its a lovely place to visit and there are trails to follow for every ability. Most of the garden is easily accessed using a wheelchair, though parts might be quite steep."
"An absolutely amazing place, I feel like I need a couple of days to walk around just to do this garden justice. The paths towards the valley aren't suitable for wheelchairs or trampers so make sure to ask for a map of accessible routes. The cafe was clean and comfortable. All in all, definitely worth a visit."
"Absolutely gorgeous botanical garden. It's an open space, so wear comfortable shoes and clothes to be able to walk and enjoy the views. Going in March, we enjoyed the beautiful Magnolias and Rhododendrons, and there will be other exuberant vegetation to enjoy in other seasons. Perfect place to have a good time and unwind."
