"We had a great experience with Butlers. Pre-planning with Martina was fantastic (and if she was out of the office, I always got a quick response from Claire). She helped make sure that our itinerary wasn't too jam packed or made suggestions to improve our tour. In Ireland, our tour guide was James and he was amazing. He took the time to ask my husband and I about our interests and make suggestions along the way that we wouldn't have done otherwise and some of those were better than the attraction that brought us to the city. For instance, in Kilkenny, I was a bit disappointed with the castle, but he took us to St. Canice's Cathedral and we walked to the top of the tower, which my husband and I both enjoyed. James also provided an plethora of history and stories about Ireland and provided candid responses to questions. Highly recommend!!"

"I just wanted to tell you how wonderful the 8 day tour was. Four of us went in mid May, and we had a private chauffeur which was the way to go for us because we are senior citizens who needed a little extra help getting about. This suited us better than a larger bus would have. We ended up having several drivers because the driver we were scheduled to have came down with covid before we started out. Each driver in turn was so accommodating and so knowledgeable. We asked quite a few questions, and they were all so helpful and even added additional information from their storehouse of knowledge. If we needed a post office or a bathroom, they knew where to go. They made good suggestions when it came time for lunch. Most of all, they were just so kind and fun to be with."

We had looked into multiple tour companies and ended up going with Butlers as we could customize a tour for our private group. We had a group of 11 with all different interests and “Ireland bucket list” wishes and our driver Mick made it happen all within a week. He was informative, providing history lessons along the way, and even made extra stops that he thought we may enjoy on our way to our destination. He was also very funny, personable, and patient! The best was we were able to visit family in Ireland. We couldn’t have done this on a regimented tour. It was the perfect balance of structure and flexibility. Leading up to the trip the team at Butlers were super helpful. I gave them a list of things we’d like to do and the timeline we had and they came up with the perfect itinerary. "Run, don’t walk to Butlers Tour Company of Ireland! If you are planning to travel to Ireland or to both Ireland and Scotland, and need a fabulous company, look no further than Butlers Tour Company. My brother and I (along with our spouses) decided the spring of 22 was the right time to make this long-anticipated trip. Having done a lot of international travel, I was asked to do the planning. I found Butlers after searching the internet for “great companies in Ireland.” From the first few email exchanges with Martina, I was very impressed with her quick responses and helpfulness. As a result, I felt confident to select Butlers as our tour company. Martina worked with me tirelessly to plan the perfect itinerary. Our group was met at the Dublin airport by our guide and driver, Thomas, and it was there that the magic began. Thomas made us feel comfortable immediately and from that moment on it just kept getting better and better! Thomas is an excellent guide and teacher, all while having us laughing and thoroughly enjoying ourselves. His professionalism, kindness, attention to our every need, and ability to be quiet at the right times, was simply outstanding! We all agreed that visiting the many beautiful, special places we did in both Ireland and Scotland would have been a lovely experience no matter what, but having Thomas as our guide was the magic ingredient that made the trip a trip of a life time!"
