Reviews
"We spent one night at The Grafton on January 22, on the way from Canada to another destination. We landed at 5.15am and were a bit worried about the check in time, usually at 3pm, but Ricardo at the reception was absolutely amazing. He greeted us with a warm smile and gave us a room immediately. He certainly deserves 5 stars. The hotel seems located in an excellent position to visit the city but we only spent one day there so I cannot say much. We walked a bit in the afternoon and easily reached the Cathedral, Temple Bar and the Castle. The hotel is surrounded by pubs and restaurants of all sorts. Breakfast was good although a waiter didn’t realise that we were still at the buffet and cleared our table taking away a blister of pills and a fruit salad. He said he would bring a new one but didn’t. Luckily though he returned the pills. Anyway, the cafe was very busy (also open to the public on a Sunday morning) so I guess he was just a bit overwhelmed and didn’t pay too much attention. My experience was a good one overall and I think I could book again on my way back to Canada."
"This hotel was rated #2 in Best Hotels in Dublin, but I say it's #1 for me. Took a weekend trip to Ireland and stayed at The Grafton Hotel. From the moment I stepped inside, I was blown away by it all. The decor, the smiling and welcoming faces, and location were all amazing. The staff greeted you daily and always checked to make sure you had everything you needed. The rooms were cleaned daily and spacious. Everything was so clean."
"We just had the best time at this hotel! We were taking a short vacation from the U.S. and the staff made our stay truly special and spectacular. Nicest and most helpful staff. They genuinely all want you to have a great stay. The room was clean, beautiful, and comfortable. The whole place is gorgeous and well decorated. The hotel bar/restaurant/breakfast was just delightful. Location is great, and my wife and I were able to walk anywhere we wanted in 20 minutes or less. We had a terrific time, and, if it weren't for the staff and gorgeous hotel, our first time traveling to Ireland wouldn't have been what it was: a fantastic time. Thank you, Grafton, and we will stay another time if we ever find ourselves "across the pond" again!"
"On the plus side, the hotel seems recently renovated and the decor is modern and the ambience is pleasant. Staff are friendly and welcoming. On the negative, the breakfast was a little disappointing. While there's a good choice of food the quality is not great. The oatmeal/porridge was watery like soup. The black and white puddings in the full Irish Breakfast were dry and the rashers tough. Tea was also provided in a flask and tasted like it had been there for a while.(this is not how we prepare Tea in Ireland) Overall at this price point I would have expected better quality."
"Fantastic hotel. If you are going to Dublin look it up. Has a roaring 20s themed decor, crystal accents, shiny gold trim really set it apart. The hotel was one of the cleanest I've ever stayed at. The staff is wonderful and greeted us by name with a smile every morning. The breakfast options were plentiful at the buffet."
