"Very poor customer service after sales. The sofa they made and delivered is not of the same dimensions as the sofa that was shown to me in the shop. Because of this mismatch the sofa is causing a lot of discomfort and pain in my neck, back and legs when I recline. Contacted customer service and they sent a service engineer from the store who stuffed more cushions in the back and neck rest of the sofa as an attempt to see if it fixes the problem but didn't. Contacted the store via customer service again but they refused to look after us saying they won't address 'convenience' issues with the sofa. An inconvenient sofa causing pain is sitting useless in my living room. They won't provide a refund or a replacement as it's hand-made. This is the first time I bought a sofa from DFS and will never buy from them again. Disappointed. Helpless. Lost my money €2000."

"Stay away. Horrible quality of product received no help from shop worst spent 4.5k in my life. couches seem like they are 3 years old not 2 days old. Stephen lacks serious customer service skills as well as manners. Keep being fobbed off these are hand made so can look like they look. Think they want me to stand under the shp and show ppl coming inside what others receive? I will gladly do that if no resolution will be provided. They are also breaching CRA 2022 legislation"

"We placed an order with DFS in Blanchardstown in early December 2022. We ordered a suite of furniture and a new bed, neither cheap but really lovely quality. While the salesperson, Adam, was extremely helpful the service after the transaction in the store was completed was terrible. We were told that we could expect the suite of furniture in late January and the bed soon after. Adam advised that we needed to make sure the payment was made in full 24 hours before the delivery was due. We made the last payment the Wednesday before the delivery was due Friday but the delivery team took it upon themselves to cancel the order WITHOUT telling us. So we went ahead and got rid of our old furniture expecting it to arrive the Friday. When we rang them Friday to see what time we could expect the order they then advised us they cancelled the order. My wife was 5 months pregnant at this point and we were without a bed and couch. We finally got the couches sorted but could not get an answer with regards a delivery date for our bed. Despite calling weekly for 3 weeks to get an answer, it was only after asking for a refund that they decided to tell us that the bed was actually out of stock. We have asked for a refund but have still not gotten anywhere. Apparently, a manager needs to approve this despite being told the bed is out of stock. We have yet to receive a call from a manager regarding a refund. My wife is now 7 months pregnant; we are still without a bed and €1,400 down. Unfortunately, we could not recommend DFS."

"Unfortunately I have to leave 1 star. Having read all the bad reviews I'm sorry I proceeded with this company. Purchased my sofa from Blanchardstown DFS. My sofa arrived on its scheduled time. I had ordered a grey (pewter) corner sofa, foot stool and arm chair, the items that arrived are far from grey they are brown!!. On delivery the delivery guys damaged my wooden floor in several places. The same guy had damaged another property the day before but yet was let back out without further training. The sofa was delivered on 5th September 2022 and it took numerous emails, phone calls, no show appointments and a Solicitors office to finally get them to replace what they damaged, same was settled 10th November 2022. Customer service is non existing with this company. Stephen, is a liability to the company, his mannerism is awful and DFS should look into his handling of complaints. I would have settled with Dan without the necessity of a law firm had it not been for Stephens attitude. You will note most reviews are left after ordering but before delivery! Save your time, money and energy and go to Harvey Norman's! Date of experience: 10 November 2022"

"Do not go near DFS. 14 weeks waiting for a foot stool (350 euro) and the delivery person plonked it at the door. We were told they would assemble it as it has legs, that wasn't the case. The product was completely destroyed and split down the middle. I've also tried to contact them for a week with no success. Included a picture below showing my current wait time of 56 mins (done this about 8 times for far this week without reply). Please please do not order from them, I didn't imagine the service would be this bad, there are plenty of better options."
