"I've used Dakers now for 10 years on half a dozen projects. I'm not sure why - the first house purchase went OK, and their conveyancing charge is on the low end, but recently I've ended up paying thrice over by having to continually fix the problems they cause and chase on progress. It seems that no one works a full week there, and you're lucky if on a given day someone else is up to speed, which leads to a constant stop-start and vastly hampered progress. In every single purchase I've involved them on I've received complaints about their poor organisation and process, this has costed me dearly. I expect they will be retiring soon, but certainly to be avoided as of 2020."
