"A pleasant Greene King pub, we only went for a couple of beers and on the Tuesday evening it was reasonably quiet. The food menu looked to be varied and reasonably priced with a number of offers. The pub has a nice outside seating area"

"Nothing changes in this place. Same people, just different faces. Good to catch up with some of the old crowd and have a drink to say goodbye Bob. Shame about the singer - even the upbeat songs were depressing. Suspect we'll be leaving it another few years before going in there again. A shame really as we spent so much of our 20s in there and it was a great pub back then."

Gnome Rescue:

"No chicken in the chicken and mushroom pie. Fried onions weren't fried bloomer bread was a white sliced loaf. No chips as per order so had to wait. So we complain and the lady behind the bar went to find assistant manager. Recommendation - don't complain he doesn't give two hoots and tried to pass the blame to the bar lady also blamed Greene King for not providing stuff. FYI The Cricketers Lidle bake fresh bread daily it's a 2 minute drive"
