"We were recommended Great Walstead School by the headmaster of our previous Prep School in Hertfordshire. Our daughters started at Great Walstead three years ago, in Reception and Year 2. I like the school's 7Cs ethos, rewarding children for effort, kindness, perseverance and creativity, as well as academic achievements. The school offers excellent pastoral care, a good academic education and inclusive sporting coaching. The girls play regular matches in hockey, netball, football and cricket, as well as having lessons in swimming, athletics, tennis, gymnastics and dancing. There are lots of opportunities to take part in drama, art and music. I like the school's recent partnership with artists, who use the school's ceramic studios and offer classes to children and parents at the school. My girls have been inspired having classes with working artists, and I've enjoyed learning pottery too!"

The kids are so lucky to have the woods, the fields, the farm but this has really shown the school at its best. The teaching staff, the remote music lessons have all been fantastic. "My daughter is currently at the school and I can't praise it enough. Great academic teaching, lots of opportunities for music, art and drama, lots of sport and outdoor activities in the woods and on the school farm, very warm and nurturing atmosphere. Best of all, my daughter is really happy here and has made some lovely friends. The school community is inclusive, non-cliquey and supportive and I've found the other parents to be really nice and down-to-earth."

The staff are excellent with the pupils, the lessons are learning adventures where the children are encouraged to be curious and creative. Overall Great Walstead is an amazing school"
