"Nestled in a tranquil part of the South Downs, Foot of the Downs gave us a great base for exploring the local area. Convenient to get to the various seasides too. The Pod was clean, well equipped and cosy. Host Angela was available and accommodating, with plenty of local recommendations provided in the visitor book. A proper natural retreat."
"We had a lovely stay and meal at the local pub, The Shepherd and Dog. The cabin was comfortable and has everything you need and a great shower!"
"Just back from our second stay at Foot of the Downs and it was just as fantastic as the first! Amazing views!! The pod was lovely and clean, with everything you need. Great fire pit. Had breakfast and bbq pack, both were lovely. Thank you Angela will definitely be visiting again."
"We stayed in the Skylark pod for the jubilee weekend and it did not disappoint! Such a peaceful and beautiful setting. Clean, cosy and everything you need for a country side escape. Nice and remote with lots of walks and sites, we visited Devils Dyke and Brighton during our stay. Our 7 year old had a wonderful time spotting wildlife sleeping in the pod. Worth every penny!"
"Me and my partner had the best time in our foot of the downs pod. It was the perfect get away from London and so easy to get to for us especially as we don't own a car. The pod itself was perfectly furnished and sized. Hot running and drinkable water from the taps and the cooking station was just what we needed. Enough condiments to get by and a lovely little hamper of teas and coffee ( the herbal teas were amazing and we're looking into getting some for ourselves). If you order the fire pack there is plenty of wood to use the fire pit for a good few nights. And to top it off there were amazing walks from the back gate or just across the road at the front of the farm, and maps for these walks in the pod were really helpful. We recommend downloading the footpath app ( also suggested in the guest leaflet) if you want to create your own walks! All in all could not fault one thing with our trip, and as much as I hate to admit it I can be pretty picky. But we had the best anniversary and Angela was amazing at communicating with us during our stay and a lovely person. We will be back for the views and comfort, I have so many beautiful pictures from walks nearby. But I encourage you to go and experience it for yourself."
