"After moving to Worthing from Brighton - where frankly the children’s services were amazing, we have had a bit of a culture shock. After several visits to new GP, we were referred to Worthing Hospital’s Child Development Centre. Apart from one session with a helpful OT, we have had no follow up and a panel met to decide we require no further input. This is completely contradictory to advice given by a private consultant we saw. Worthing needs to prioritise more funding for families and children’s services, as it is no longer just an older population who reside here. Not impressed, am afraid. Clearly by reading the other reviews, am not alone."

"Seen quickly by gentle and caring staff! My 10 year old son was referred here for a blood test. Naturally he was a bit nervous but the staff were very understanding and prepared for worried patients. I was tempted to dock a star for the car park which is a bit confusing and over crowded but that would be mean."

"If you and your GP are concerned about anything that is refereed to the Children's Center If you love and care about your child GO PRIVATE If you don't love you child so are happy with your child being dealt with really slowly with a cavalier attitude. then if your child is ill and referred to the children's center, you will reach an ANSWERPHONE with a offer to phone you back... If you are referred for child blood test, phone the answer machine and ask for appointment, they do these a couple of days a week. You can wait up to the "maximum allowed by law to keep you waiting" as West Sussex don't care that much about children as maybe the trust and the managers have forgotten they they were once children... and no hurry as maybe they believe that your child isn't really ill. If they are then they would be admitted to A&E.... The answer is GO PRIVATE or see you MP"
