"Just a regular Tuesday evening while traveling for work, thought I’d wait for the evening traffic to dissipate.. the this.. a lovely gem of a pub. Warm welcoming atmosphere and the staff as becoming. The seafood chowder was rich and fully loaded with all sorts of fish swimming in a creamy soup. The braised beef just fell a sunder under my fork and the veggies crispy and flavorful. I usually don’t, but I had to finish with desert of green tea with a delicious cheese cake, my gauge being the texture of the base.. it was crispy.. perfect!"

"The 24 hour braised feather blade was to die for, the veggies cooked to perfection, the mashed potatoes so smooth and creamy, the beef as light as a feather and rich on flavor with the gravy drenched all over it. OMG I didn’t want the moment to end, I even ate some of my friend’s French fries and dipped them in the gravy, DELICIOUS. They know what they’re doing in the kitchen, would definitely return here on my next trip to Dublin. Recommend this spot, has such a homey feel and excellent service."

"Generous carvery portions served Monday to Friday. The staff are lovely and courteous. The tables are nicely spaced out which allows for normal conversation. Deducting a star for speed of service since we waited 30 minutes for our empty plates to be picked up and for the level of cleanliness. The tables , wall paneling and especially the radiators need a good scrub."
