Pesto at Cabbage Hall

"AMAZING FOOD! Service was ok, the waitress explained the menu to us etc. About 5 minutes after we were seated a server dropped a drink behind my partner, it splashed up his jacket and the server didn't aknowledge what had happened or come over to apologise. We understand accidents happen but it's the follow up on those accidents that make the difference. While waiting for desserts (which are delicious!), a glass of wine bounced off the bar area next to us and glass came flying towards us. Both my partner and myself had splinters of glass in our hair, all over the table, again no apology or even to be asked if we were okay/hurt. It could have been a whole different story if the glass had gone into our eyes. Again, mistakes happen but to not even be asked if were okay wasn't nice. So yes, amazing food but customer service really needs attention!"

"Went with friends for a birthday meal. After a mix up with the booking, we eventually got seated and ordered from the special deal, which is available upto 7pm. All the food arrived freshly cooked and in good time, considering the place was full! My friends and I all enjoyed our dishes and four of us squeezed dessert in too! The staff were pleasant and friendly and the bill quite reasonable considering how many dishes we shared! We will definitely be back for more!"

"Awesomely beautiful quality epic food. My friend and I visited Cabbage Hall Pesto 11th Dec for our Xmas catch up. We are 2 ladies whom know our minds and we like things to be comfortable. We were greeted and sat in the first small area before the bar in front of a fire place with the fire in it. Both being very hot ( in more ways than one wink wink nudge nudge) we asked politely to.be moved and this was no issue at all. We both ordered a drink each ( salted caramel martini is recommended) and then our food. Tiny wait between these but it was a busy Sat Night. I then ordered my food and decided on 7 dishes and my friend 6. I think all the food was amazing . I love the oregano potatoes till the day I die but standouts for me were the belly pork...so soft and cod bits in beer batter, so fresh and chunky. I also really liked the goats cheese puff pastry tart. My friend enjoyed her chicken thigh dish. Overall perhaps one of the beat meals I have ever had at Pesto."

"Food was fantastic. Most ordered from the lunch menu which was really good value. I tried the pork belly for the first time and it was amazing. I would definitely recommend the carbonara, peposo and the pork belly Being served drinks took a while, not many staff on But food all came out hot and perfect"
