"Delicious food and fantastic, friendly staff! I adore how many things on their menu can be or are gluten free; it's such a nice feeling to have so much choice. Definitely ate far too much, but it was worth every bite. They have a great selection of cocktails (and mocktails), which are equally delightful. I'll be back again for that Italian Stallion. Parking out front, or just behind the restaurant. Also cycle parking available, which is even better."
"It’s probably a wrong place and a wrong time. At the time of our visit the place had no alcohol licence. We went to a store next door to get beers. The first telling sign should have been the emptiness of the place (in all fairness - it was Sunday evening, people might have been just chilling at home). Second telling sign - both waitresses were absolutely new. We asked for a table further from the door (our bad) and got a table right next to the kitchen. Which would have been ok elsewhere. Here we had to listen to their (chef, waitresses, etc) life adventures and stories. Had we been in a pub where we had known the owners - that would have been fine. Here… we were also automatically charged £8 service charge. We placed the order immediately - as we were the only ones in. We waited an hour to get the food. All food came in at the same time. It was burned, dry, swimming in fat… it was not good. M Maybe it’s temporary. Maybe they are unlucky about some things. Maybe it’s an unlucky coincidence. But I am sure we will not be returning."
