Yalm Food Hall

"1st visit to the upstairs food hall. Find your own seat and scan the QR code for the menus of all the food and drink vendors available. Order on your phone and food and drink is brought to your table. We had the Lamb Kofte, Beef Burrito, cola and a craft beer. Excellent food and drink. Service was quick. There was plenty of choice of styles of food and this venue has the ability to refresh the menu often. We had already had a coffee downstairs a few weeks previous which was relaxed and welcoming. Great idea, hope it does well."

"Excited to visit here and experience this interesting concept. Visited early afternoon and it had a good vibe. Tables were being cleaned reasonably quickly so you weren't sitting in someone else's detritus. Mobile order worked well and was reasonably quick. Service was excellent no problem with that. Range of food options was good. Disappointed with the level of heating as needed coats on in an indoor area. Extra portable heaters were in place, but I would question the safety of these if you had small children with your party or your nylon coat got too close. Had a good selection across the menu but mulled wine being served cool was a let down and avoid the tacos which although looked good with nice flavour were actually two overpriced lumps of gristle, avoid! Hopefully yalm will improve as they become more established, and I would try again to see if they have."

"A great addition to Norwich. Although Yalm was very busy when I visited, it just seemed to add to the atmosphere. You order all of your drinks and food from your table via a QR code, which makes ordering so much easier, especially when it's busy. We ordered a range of vegetarian options, all of which were delicious. As the food comes from different kitchens, depending on which company you order from, the food arrives at different times, which is not a problem but worth being aware of if you prefer to eat at the same time as everyone in your group. A couple of dishes took a little longer to arrive, but as we had ordered a few items, it wasn't a problem. I'd highly recommend sitting upstairs by the window, looking out into the Royal Arcade."

"I have been to Yalm four times (yes already), most of these have been during the breakfast period and so I have enjoyed the food predominantly of "Toast". Toast provide an abundance of breakfast/brunch offerings, I have had the spicy eggs and the BLT, the hash browns, their lovely sausage patty as well as one of their healthier options, a delicious barley bowl (not all in one sitting). For me everything has been top notch, delicious and slightly less conventional than the standard breakfast options, with delicious choices of sauce and seasoning. Yalm itself has so much to offer, great décor, good drinks. I have also enjoyed "Milk's" soft serve ice cream, the consistency of which is perfect and the chosen accompaniments are very well thought out. Would I go again, well I did and will keep going, there's always something new to try and the place itself is very special, a great addition to making Norwich all the more special."

"Food was superb. If you want to guarantee your food to arrive at your table at the same time, order it all from one phone. My dessert was ordered 1 minute later than someone else at the table and was delivered to the table 10-15 minutes later. Plenty of different food to choose from so should suit fussy eaters like me."
