"Just to add to my review and reply to the Director of the Company. Some of the things you have mentioned is totally ‘Untrue’ as you clearly were not informed by your member of staff that she had put my goods back and no one will know that they have been put away. Then upon calling on the ‘Final day’ of buyback, ur female member of staff informed me that you had been into the shop and put everything out for sale, yet you had Covid? I do not know where you have got your dates from and your information, but what you have said is clearly not the case. You have not been given the correct information, but I appreciate you taking your staffs version of events. I still have the calls that I made to the store on my phone log which clearly shows the last day of the buyback. Again this is a lesson to be learnt, not to use ‘SOS’ in the future. This is nothing personal to you Joe or your Business…. It is clearly to mention that a particular member of staff within the Business is not giving the ‘TRUTH’ about what she is telling Customers when you are not present! Shame really as it was good shop when it first started up!"

"What an absolute shocking experience that I have encountered.I put an item in on a buyback and because my wife had covid and me having to isolate,I was reassured by the female member of staff that everything will be ok, and to contact her personally when I am able to pay and collect my goods……I phoned the store to inform her that I will be coming in to pay to get my goods back, and was totally taken back when she informed me that the boss who I am presuming is Joe, (although I have not spoken to him as of yet and am awaiting on him contacting me) had came into the store and told her to put the goods out for sale. I really cannot see Joe telling the female to do this without asking questions.This is absolutely disgusting especially when I was reassured that everything is fine…..I find this totally unacceptable and considering SOS have my contact number, surely any Business would phone the Customer first? I have total disrespect for this Business now, and would strongly advise anyone who is looking at doing business with SOS, please give SOS a wide birth…..This is not a dig at the business itself, it’s how they work and who they employ. Giving Customers like myself Falsehope."

"Now the shop has settled since opening regular staff etc good stock Great price's most of all staff are really friendly and non judgemental' as I've sometimes felt in other pawn shops. I would recommend the Marlborough st shop to anyone"

"Took down a phone for repair. Was told the phone needed a new battery. Waited 8 days for a call back to say that wasn't needed and that the phone had water damage. When collecting the phone with what I suspected 2 battery's as one was apparently brand new which is what I had paid for...the lady told me she didn't know and to call back the day after to find out where the other battery was. Called back to find out the old battery apparently snapped in half when being taken out of the phone. Which I believe is rubbish phone battery's are solid. Paid for a new battery which doesn't look new and the phone still isn't working. Was not told what was happening over the course of 8 days and had to call daily to find out. Not a very happy customer ad I've paid for a service which I haven't received."
