"We showed up in late June, 2019, without a reservation needing a room for two nights. She could only accommodate us for one night, but immediately went to the phones and found us a good place to stay for a night. Her place is lovely with a great view. But, what made this place really stand out was the owner's perfect blend of information, help, service, and friendliness without being overbearing or pushy in any way. Though we had a car, she drove us to the train station enabling us to avoid having to find parking. If there was a way to make our stay and sight-seeing more rewarding, she did it without the necessity of asking for assistance. We could not recommend this place more highly. First-rate."

"Such a lovely B&B and Pauline was both nice and helpful. I just finished a 5 night stay there and I am so glad I chose it. I was dependent on public transportation and Bangor was a great central point to visit all of Northern Ireland. There are 2 trains an hour, and with my iLink card I was able to travel to Belfast very easily. Pauline always made sure I made it to the train station in plenty of time the 2 times I needed to be on a tour in time. I would definitely stay again."

"We stayed at Hargreaves House at the start of a weeks tour in Ireland with my family. It was the high point of our tour for accommodation and breakfast - top class! Pauline and Ambrose gave us a warm welcome and excellent personal service. We had a late night out with friends so they served us breakfast at 10am - to give us time to come around. The breakfast was top notch and a wonderful family experience! Ambrose made me some fresh tomato juice - which I enjoyed more than in top London restaurants. Simple excellence! I would heartily recommend Hargreaves House to anyone, but particularly to those who appreciate the personal touch!"
