"Renting a property through them which I cannot wait to get out of! Was told there are no children, there are 5 right next door! Noise is awful. The smell of weed is in the air most nights. The property is in need of extensive modernisation - unfortunately I didn't appreciate how bad it was until the day I moved in."

"My flatmates and I have been repeatedly let down by JP lettings. Not only is the property not what was agreed upon with problems such as damp, mouldy, fluffy walls , faulty electrics and appliances, unkempt furniture and the lack of heating but our complaints have been met with apathy. We have emailed and called them about all the issues several times before hearing back. Our heating was non-existent for three months since the start of our tenancy in August till Late October, and has continued to be a problem throughout as the boiler continues to malfunction. As I am writing this, the main electrics in the flat have tripped for the fourth time leaving us with no heating/hot water in the entire flat and no power on the top floors. It is unfortunate that the electrics have gone off out of office hours but this is when any emergency numbers would have come in handy. This situation has happened before in late november; we had no heating or hot water all weekend due to it be out of office hours. My main concern is that it is near impossible for us to contact and receive help from JP lettings for the many problems the flat has come with. As students our time and energy should not be invested in chasing after the agency hoping we can live in a house that is safe and warm. I regret choosing this property but even more so JP lettings. Wanted to leave 0 stars but can't."

"Wish I could leave - stars As a student, and as anyone else, 100% avoid JP Lettings, me and my 3 female flatmates are treated very poorly here. The staff have undermined us and our complaints several times, left us without heating for 3months+ , a smoking oven for 6 weeks, unsightly sofas (ripped, broken, cheap and wonky that could be replaced so easily and cheaply for students) and have overall been terrible in maintaining the household in which we are staying. This property has had several faults (some of which are big safety concerns) however the agency has never once responded to us with urgency or a slight amount of care. They have no out of hours or emergency contact numbers (which have been needed several times) and continue to use maintenance workers who clearly dont know what they are doing. Our property has had issues with damp for several months now and only recently have they tried to cheaply have work done. They have been known to ignore calls from us and our parents and always fail to consider issues as important or urgent. The agency has told us before that they have never experienced these issues in this house however we have contact with the old tenants and they have stated that they have been in contact with the agency about these issues during their stay. We had a leaking sink for several weeks and had 3 repair people come visit before having it fixed, the boiler is faulty and error's several times, leaving us with cold water and no heating and they have never addressed it. We have a lightbulb which blew a few months ago however we cannot replace it as it is dangerously out of our reach and the agency has not responded to our request to have it changed, this is the main light in the hallway and leaves the steep stairs dark. One bedroom has particularly bad mould , the walls grew fluffy and you can imagine not wanting to be in that room, breathing in what could be very bad for you. the furniture around the house is damaged and in bad shape, often faulty, and none of the bedrooms came with chairs! How can a landlord rent a student flat with desks and no chairs. The staff seem very unprofessional and seem like they probably hate their jobs, they also act like because we are younger that we will take whatever treatment they give us. I am paying you money to live in a safe working house, as agreed under the contract, and for 6 months it has been the opposite, i have every right to complain."

"Carla and her team were excellent!! Communication is key as she certainly kept us informed throughout. Marketed Early Feb so a flat time of year but new tenants 2nd week in April so very happy. Everything went smoothly and efficiently. Definitely comes highly recommend from us."
