"We always enjoy visits to this pub /restaurant - it’s my favourite and full of history and character. Beautiful garden as well; which is a great place to sit in the warmer weather. The food is lovely with a great selection - their fish & chips are spectacular! Yes, it’s a bit more expensive than some other places but in my opinion it is completely worth it."

"Very over rated. This pub does not warrant the over priced food. It is a village pub not a fine dining experience. I only need to drive 2 mile to the Griffin Inn at Plumtree to have superb food at a fraction of the price. Beautifully presented and a lot of choice. Not sure how it gets the rewards."

"Pretty pub in a quiet village setting. Lovely garden in the summer. Staff shortages are evident in their offhand attitude. Very good menu, but fairly pricey - at least £10 for a sandwich...but thick, nice fillings and served with chips and salad."
